About Structure and Style
Structure and Style was born out of a desire to not just post our favorite poems but to also be able to talk about poetry. To start a dialogue. Poetry isn’t dying, but it could always use a few more fans.
We’ve been around since July 2011, since we took what was a friendship based on being undergraduate classmates and joined forces to tell you about poems we love.
Rebecca Hazelwood is a writer, PhD student, college instructor, and former photographer. Her essays have been published in Hobart, PANK and Still. She’s currently working on a memoir comprised of related essays, as well as her PhD in English with a creative dissertation in Louisiana.

Her fiction has been published in Still: The Journal and in the anthology Appalachia Now: Short Stories of Contemporary Appalachia.

If you’re new to this blog, you might want to start with our favorite poems that we’ve written about. For National Poetry Month in April 2014, we tweeted a favorite poem a day and we collated our picks.
We also have an extensive archive of posts and a list of featured poets.
Lastly, be sure to check out our guest stars; on the first Sunday of every month, we try to feature posts by fantastic writers, mostly poets.
